Why Yin Yoga Immersion Training?

Yin Yoga has accelerated in popularity over recent years. More studios are seeing the benefits of offering Yin Yoga on their schedules.  Often times, having the skill to teach Yin Yoga allows a teacher to maximise revenue by teaching back-to-back classes with traditional yoga.

The 25-hour training, delivered over a three-day weekend, will delve into the vast knowledge of yin yoga and its principles.  If you are already a teacher, this training will assist in delivering safe, informed and engaging Yin classes. With only sixteen places available, this small group training will ensure everyone feels acknowledged and seen. The course covers all the relevant areas of teaching such as anatomy, teaching skills and class planning. Not only that, but this training will also take you beyond the physical body.

The energetic side of the practice will be covered through Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy, including the Meridians and the Five Elements. You will learn how to take your students on a journey into the esoteric realm with confidence. Also, gain valuable insights for yourself on and off the mat. If you are interested in delivering Dharma talks and philosophy into your classes, this course will give you great inspiration to do so.

Who Is This Training For?

This training is designed for both enthusiastic students of yin yoga and for certified yoga teachers who want to add a new skill to their teaching repertoire.

  • For enthusiastic students of yin yoga, this training will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practice of yin yoga. You will learn about the different postures, the use of props, and the sequencing of postures. You will also learn how to modify postures for your body type and levels of flexibility.
  • For certified yoga teachers, this training will give you the skills you need to teach yin yoga classes. You will learn how to create a safe and effective yin yoga class, how to cue students, and how to adjust postures. You will also learn how to integrate yin yoga into your existing yoga practice.

No matter your level of experience, this training will give you the tools you need to deepen your understanding of yin yoga and to become a more effective teacher.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

The Yin Yoga Immersion Training Curriculum

Your course will focus on the key elements of Yin Yoga that lead to well-structured, safe, and transformational classes.

IN 4 MODULES OF IN-DEPTH EXPERIENTIAL STUDIES, YOU’LL LEARN ABOUT:

Module 1 – Introduction to Yin Yoga

The introduction to yin yoga module will provide students with an overview of this slow-paced, passive style of yoga. Students will learn about the history of yin yoga, the benefits of yin yoga, and the basic principles of yin yoga practice.

Module 2 – Yin Yoga Functional Anatomy

This module will provide a comprehensive understanding of the anatomy of the body and how it is affected by yin yoga.  We will explore the different types of connective tissue in the body and how they can be targeted to releive stress and tension.  Specific areas of focus include the hips, spine, shoulders, legs, chest, neck, and abdomen.

Module 3 – Yin Yoga Teaching Methodology

This module explores the specific methods and approaches used to teach yin yoga. These methods include the use of The Seven Yin Yoga Archetypes, props, modifications, sequencing, theming, language, and teaching skills.

The methodology used to teach yin yoga is important because it can help to ensure that students are able to experience the full benefits of this practice safely and effectively. The right methodology can help students to relax, connect with their bodies, and release tension.

Module 4 – The Energetics of Yin

This module will explore the energetics of yin yoga from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Students will learn about the five elements of TCM, the yin and yang meridians, and how these concepts relate to yin yoga practice.

The module will also introduce students to the concept of qi, or vital energy, and how it flows through the body. Students will learn how to assess their own qi levels and how to use yin yoga to balance their qi.

The Energetics of Yin is a valuable resource for anyone who is interested in learning more about the energetic aspects of yin yoga. The module will provide students with a deeper understanding of how yin yoga can be used to balance the body’s energy and promote overall health and well-being.
